365 Days Of Photography:Day 5

Vax Protest

Vax Protest Band

Out on a cold crisp midday in Bristol’s Broadmead shopping area on day five of 365 days of photography. This band were beating the drum about vaccines. From their posters I suspect they are anti-vax and into conspiracy ideas. As it was they didn’t seem to be making much of an impression. The shopping area was very quiet and the weather cold. It is also likely that people are now working from home or self isolating because of Omicron.

Not being sure what you’ll find is one of the lures of street photography. Some days there seems to be little going on and others can be incredibly rich in subject matter. As was today because a short way away in the centre.

Scooter Protest

Scooters Centre Bristol

Hundreds of scooters were processing through the city centre making a protest but about what I don’t know. They were all beeping their horns at once a deafening noise that made asking one of the riders what was going on impossible.

Urban Unicorn

Urban Unicorn

This statue on the junction of Nine Tree Hill and Stokes Croft has transmuted from a dragon into a very street Unicorn. I don’t think it is a Brexit Unicorn it is far too solid and real. It sits on top of the Elemental Collective Coffee Shop. They do fine coffee and sell breads and cakes.

I think it has something of RoboCop about it. One could imagine a terminator android riding on it.
