Hydrangea petiolaris flowers

composite image of dead Hydrangea petiolaris flowers

Bit of a departure this week, plants are starting to stir and seeds germinating but I thought I’d look at the remnants of last year.

I wanted to create a ghostly, layered image and these skeletal flower remains are perfect.

The image is a reminder that life is fleeting. It also celebrates the beauty that can be found in less obvious subjects.

Maybe you could tell me about something that you find beautiful and unsettling?
