I found this anemone at a garden centre and fell in love with it. Something about the mauve streaks in the white petals is really appealing.
I wanted to get a painterly quality to the photograph so again I used the technique of layering a soften version over the original sharp focus image. Then I removed soften image to reveal selected areas in sharp focus.
The background was made using a sheet of green/grey Ingres paper.
I think that the result is not unlike a Dutch still life from the 17th Century.
What do you think?
